Sunny skies and temperatures in the 70's provided area residents a perfect fall weekend for outside activities. Vicki and Bob King, Kennebec, assembled this elaborate fall display in front of their business. While it took the King's two days to complete the project, they enjoy spending time decorating for the change of seasons.

The United States Postal Facilities Service Office of Denver, CO confirms that two different locations in Kennebec have been submitted to their office for possible building sites of a new post office in Kennebec.

[b]Lyman Schools receive Distinguished School recognition[/b]

PIERRE, S.D. - One hundred and thirty-seven South Dakota schools have met the requirements for "Distinguished Schools" under the No Child Left Behind Act for 2003 and 2004. Sixteen of those schools - all identified as high poverty schools - will receive academic achievement awards ranging from $5,000 to $15,000, to support their efforts in raising student achievement.
