Funeral services for Hilda Pitan, 88 of Presho, who died Friday, February 25, 2005 at St. Marys TCU, Pierre will be held Wednesday, March 2 at 10 am at the Zion Lutheran Church, Presho. Burial will be at the Vivian Cemetery, Vivian, SD. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Isburg Funeral Chapel in Presho. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm at the Chapel

Bertha Dybing, 92
Bertha Dybing 92 of Platte died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at the Platte Health Care Center, Platte, SD. A prayer service was held Friday, February 25, 2005 at the Platte Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Slattery. Graveside services were held Saturday February 26, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Presho City Cemetery, Presho, SD.

Joseph M. Sloan, 82A mass of Christian Burial for Joseph M. Sloan was held on Friday, February 4, 2005 at 11:00 am at Risen Christ Catholic Church with Father Rudolph Bullman as Celebrant. Committal followed in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A Vigil was held Thursday at 7 pm at Johnson Mortuary chapel with visitation Thursday from 1 pm to time of Vigil at the funeral home.

Lyman HS Dance team performed at Thursday nights girls basketball game and at Friday nights boys game. Being lifted Alexis Perry and Lorrie Marsee. Standing l-r: Ashley Uthe, Tina Chan, Jenna Urban, Candace Volmer, and Lacey Halvorson. The dance team is under the direction of Becky Diehm.

[b]Pen of Three exhibits added to Farm and Home show[/b]

The Presho Area Chambers annual Farm and Home show will be held Saturday, February 26, 2004 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Lyman High School gym. Over 45 indoor booth spaces have been reserved. In addition 14-penned exhibits of breeding stock will be on display outside the gym in the lower east parking lot. Other outdoor exhibits of livestock handling equipment will be set up.

[b]Newspaper Association conducts survey[/b]

The South Dakota Newspaper Association is in the process of conducting a statewide newspaper survey. Pulse Research will conduct a telephone survey of 800 South Dakotas, plus, an extensive online survey at is being held.

People who complete the online survey and submit their name and address will be entered for a chance to win $700, $200 or $100 in groceries. The online survey is wide-ranging, and will take a few minutes to complete. However, it will provide valuable insight into South Dakotans newspaper readership and shopping habit
