Marlene “Jody” Behn, 58, of 7093 Country Beautiful Lane, town of Stockton died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident in Dodge County.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at the Plover Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dick Gildseth officiating. Burial was in the Forest Cemetery in Birnamwood.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial, in lieu of flowers, will be established in her name.
Jody was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Murdo, S.D., to Don and Dora (Nohrenberg) Goff. She graduated from Sturgis High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Jody was certified in criminal thinking and breaking barriers.
She was married to Dennis Behn in 1977, and the couple has lived in the area since 1980. She currently was the owner and administrator of Choices to Change Inc. Among the group homes for youth that she and her husband own and operate are: Washington House in Plover, Eagles Nest in Granton, Choices in Stevens, Point, Bridges in Wittenberg, and Changes in New London.
Jody enjoyed working with youth, riding Harley with her husband, yard work, shopping, dancing and country music. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; daughter, Denya’l (fiancé Travis Garski) Behn, Minneapolis; son, Trent Larson, Sturgis, SD; her mother Dora Marie and John Gallinger, Bancroft; and two brothers, Bud (Laurie) Goff, Almond; and Gary (Darlene) Goff, Kimball, Neb. She was preceded in death by her father Don and one brother, Don Goff.
