The annual pheasant season opener produced plenty of smiles over the past weekend as hunters of all ages walked the fields of Lyman County under sunny skies. Top left: Sunday afternoon, Dell Wilson of Arlington Heights, Illinois was the first in his hunting party to bag a bird. Top right: Garrett Schumacher, age 12, of Minnesota was all smiles following his first pheasant hunt. Above, l-r; Doug Engel and Tom Monahan, both of Pennsylvania and Derek Long, Oacoma walk a tree grove south of Kennebec.
