Janada Ramser, 92, of Pierre formerly of Presho died on Sunday, April 28 at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre.

A funeral service was held at Saturday, May 4th at Grace Methodist Church in Presho with a visitation one hour prior to the services burial will be at the Presho City Cemetery. For those unable to attend the service it will be live streamed on her obituary page on Isburg Funeral Chapels website.

Janada Frances Scott was born on April 17, 1932, in Presho to Roy and Rose (Urban) Scott. She joined a family of two sisters, Wilma and Ida and one brother, Harry. She attended West Annin School north of Presho for grades 1 and 2.

Upon entering 3rd grade, she started school in Presho. She graduated from Presho High School class of 1949.

Following graduation, she attended summer school at Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish for three summers. She taught school two terms returning to college each summer until she secured her teaching certificate.

Janada married Glen Ramser on June 22, 1951, in Deadwood, SD. They became parents of 10 children. In the fall of 1951, she was employed in the Lyman County Auditor’s office and a few years later worked for the County Superintendent of Schools.

After leaving the county she worked various jobs in Presho before returning to work at the Director of Equalization office for 27 years.

Janada was a very nurturing woman. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She always made sure the cats that didn’t have homes were fed and taken care of. She lived a very full life living at home on her own and even driving until the end.

She enjoyed working with flowers, embroidering and became a TV fan (FOX news and bull riding to name a few) after retirement.

Survivors include her children Debra Bush, Warrensburg, MO, Roxy (Tom) Osborn, Winner, SD, Luana (Mark) Diedrich, Hinckley, MN, Ronelle (Rocky) Hook, Pierre, SD, Rick (Mary) Ramser, Spokane Valley, WA, Rusty (Kelly) Ramser, Presho, SD, Misti (Barry) Ramser, Presho, SD and Marti Ramser, Pierre SD. Nine grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen and sons, Roy and Rocky, as well as her parents, brother and sisters.
