Lyman Area Community Theater presents Alice in Wonderland

Under the direction of Jordan Pond and management Tonya Ness, the Lyman Area Community Theater presented their first play, Alice in Wonderland. The cast’s phenomenal performances brought to life the children’s story of Alice, who had fallen down a rabbit hole, meeting many different people and creatures along the way.

Vivian Community hosts Vietnam War Commemoration Event

In 2008, the National Defense Authorization Act empowered the Secretary of Defense to conduct a program on behalf of the nation, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The Presidential Proclamation states this program will extend from Memorial Day 2012 through Veteran’s Day 2025. This 13 year program is to give honor and thanks to a generation of proud Americans who saw our country through the most challenging missions we have ever faced. The Prairie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Vivian Community held a ceremony on Sunday, April 28th to honor local veterans with a pinning ceremony. Vivian Bearcats gather June 8th

The Vivian All School Reunion will take place on Saturday, June 8 th , at the Vivian Auditorium. Any former student or teacher from Vivian Elementary and High School are cordially invited to attend.

Legion Members visit Veteran’s Home

Body
Legion members of Johnson-Peterson Post 179 along with Auxiliary members and guests sponsored bingo for the residents of the Veteran’s Home in Hot Springs. A total of nine in all delivered cookies, caps, puzzles, socks, T-shirts, playing cards, and personal hygiene products for the veteran’s. We would like to thank the community members that donated to this cause.
