On December 31, 1923 Mrs. Alice Sedgwick, Miss Anna Jost, Jessie Thomson, Mary Sweeney, F.C. Wederath and C.K. Knutson formed the first library board trustees and held their first meeting at the old Highway Garage (Heiman’s Construction behind Lyman County Herald) to hire a librarian and set the wages.
