Jacinda Alexandria Schweitzer (also known as Lolli, Cinda, Cin, Jaci, JC) I have two tattoos. I currently have two cats (Yuna and Connie) and two rabbits (Lola and JJ) I dropped around $55 million to go to space. Just kidding.

I like to hang out with friends and family (especially my niece and nephews), read actual physical books, draw, and learn new things. I like being outdoors but don't mind being indoors, playing board games, or doing a puzzle while streaming a movie or a show. I like going to breweries and distilleries and trying new foods. Umm, I think that’s it at a high level that I can think of at the top of my head. You?

I left this world on, August 14, 2023. I would like you to know that my work here was done. I received a call, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which I will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, an opportunity to extend life to others, and a glorious reunion with family and friends I haven’t seen in a long time.

-Jaci “Jacinda was lost when she rushed into a burning building to save a group of adorable animals. Or maybe not. We all know how she loved a heroic story over a tragic one, so we will allow her that.”

Cinda excelled at growing succulents (which Yuna her BFF cat would promptly devour), building houses for Habitat For Humanity, organizing, color coding, living within her means,

outsmarting squirrels, never losing a game of competitive sickness with her migraines, and reading any good book series she could get her hands on.

She loved nothing more than a good nap snuggling up with her pets and her favorite cozy blanket, flipping between watching The Office, Bobs Burgers, Parks and Rec, Great North, or South Park.

She took extreme pride in her niece and nephews, Grace (6), Luke (3), and Audie (1), for whom she extended the most generous of gifts. Aunt Lolli was also known to have the best games on her phone to play and she never disappointed with hidden candy stashes or Legos to play with tucked as treasures in her pockets.

Jacinda took fashion cues from no one. Her signature everyday look was all her: any type of sweatshirt or hoodie (it just had to be soft), her black-label leggings sold exclusively in the children’s department as well as a pair of cozy socks (preferably with a bunny print!) When she did dress up she had a unique sense of style coordinated with the best accessories always adding a touch of sparkle peeking out somewhere.

She lived each day creatively and added color to the bland and ordinary as a former graphic designer, design lead, and marketing specialist. Although she was naturally talented she received her Associate of Arts degree in Alexandria Minnesota, continued on at Minnesota State in Mankato, and finally earned her BA at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Jacinda loved to design projects and lead her own team working with front-end web development and data visualization. On the side, she also freelanced fulfilling her passion for designing logos and print work. She donated countless hours to multiple nonprofit organizations contributing design work, webpage buildouts, or a complete rebranding.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Cinda during her 32 years, among them: ● Never throw away anything that can be donated or shared.

● Use what you have for the benefit of others whether it be your talent, your money, or your time.

● Also: If an injured or scared animal shows up in your day, do everything in your power to make sure it’s taken care of. Be bold and unmoving in being its protector in this world. If it needs shelter in your shed, give them respite, food, and enough space to trust you.

● Let a dog, cat, bunny (or two or three) share your bed. Cuddle them and watch cartoons with them.

● Go to church when your mama needs you to; with a chicken sandwich in your purse and a bottle of ranch. Cry during the service without anyone seeing, even if you play the tough guy every time. Give the chicken sandwich to a homeless person with a furry friend by their side after church.

● Go to the nursing homes where your grandma or loved one is staying and kiss everyone. Because time is not promised, not mine or yours.

● When you learn someone's name, share it, say it! Celebrate them because we are all special.

● Invite new friends to Thanksgiving dinner. If they are from another country and you have trouble understanding them, learn to 'listen with an accent.' Never say mean things about anybody; we are all 'poor souls to pray for.'

● Put your picky-eating niece and nephews in a box at the bottom of your mom’s stairs, tell them they are hungry lions in a cage, and feed them veggies through the slats. (I hope they remember this Aunt Lolli memory from our last Christmas together because silly things are where the magic lives.)

● Doubt the BSers in your life, sadly they exist, know when to simply shrug, say Ok and walk away but also know when to pull out your inner warrior and stand up for what you believe in.

● Correspond each day with those that are dear to you in this life, even if your message is in the form of a text or a voicemail and it seems pointless, it will let them know they matter and are loved by you.

● Play all your favorite video games on your phone every morning, She loved the Sims, catching up on the news and the weather. Maintaining habits and high-scoring status takes great discipline but the result is a great inner joy.

● Keep the car keys in your favorite bunny bowl by the front door so they don't get lost.

● Make the car dance by lightly tapping the brakes to the beat of songs on the radio. She loved how her little Mini would always light up on the dashboard to all her favorite songs these little glimmer moments saved her sanity during challenging days and heavy traffic.

● Offer rides to people carrying a big load or are caught in the rain or summer heat.

● Help anyone struggling to get their kids into a car or shopping cart or across a parking lot. Maybe even just give a smile because it can go a long ways.

● Give to every charity that asks. Go the extra mile even if it means doing a polar plunge and jumping into below-freezing water for the cause that you believe in!

● Allow the homeless to look you in the eye and not look away because it is too hard to face their truth. We are all struggling each day with too much to carry. We have too much fear in this world. Allow them to keep warm in your car while you are at Target, I did this once and waited to tell my mom knowing she would freak out instead she loved me for it.

● If you have the ability to surprise somebody with a gift they weren’t expecting do it as there’s no better way to let somebody know that they are loved.

Jacinda had a lifelong love affair with queso (basically all Mexican food), cakes, cookies, Juicy Lucy’s, dinner breakfasts, her sister’s cheesy hash-browns, fried Chicken and mashed potatoes with a buttermilk biscuit. “Nom-Nom, Nom-Nom, Nom-Nom,” was all you would hear when she was enjoying a food favorite!

Her biggest love was the Minnesota State Fair! This was her vacation each year. She would take off work and go every day with her longtime partner Andrew and his family, it was her treasured bliss and greatest joy she lived for these few days all year long! She loved every new food and event that came out each year, holding onto her all-time favorites; among them, blueberry beer!

In her lifetime, Jacinda made personal contacts time over time, more than we ever knew about. Those who've taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure that a cold drink will be left for the overheated garbage collector and mail carrier, every stray will be held, volunteering time will be completed, every nursing home loved one will be visited, the hungry will have a sandwich, a guest will have warm covers and soft nightlight with gummy bears by their bedside, and any stray bunny(animal of any kind) trapped in a frat house (or any other desperate situation) will be heroically saved.

Above all, Jacinda reached out with the intention to those she loved, about everything from the weather to Amazon shipment updates, new music, pet Instagrams or just honest messages of love. You may read this and recall a text, voicemail, or post from her that touched your heart, tickled your funny bone, or maybe made you say 'Huh?'

She is survived by her partner, mom, dad, sisters, and extensive family whose photos she would share with prospective friends in the checkout line: Former Fiancé -Andrew VanNess; Mom-Mic Hauge (Partner-Glen Kelley); Dad-Steve Schweitzer(wife-Robyn); Sisters; Danielle Johnson (Husband-Steve, Children-Grace, Luke) Tyrelle Brakke (Husband-Levi, Children-Audie) Treinae (Partner-Jake Carstens); along with many, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Jacinda is reunited with her Grandfather, John B Hauge, and her Grandmother, Janice Elaine Peterson, her favorite dance partner and cookie nibbler, as well as her much-loved Grandfather, Paul Schweitzer; Uncles, Dave Schweitzer and Jim Reickman, and her treasured godmother, Samantha Slouka.

Because of Jacinda’s irrational fear that her family would throw her a traditional, stodgy, sad-themed funeral, her family will honor her unique spirit and hold a “FUN”eral Life Celebration color-themed service! If you will be attending please wear your finest fashions in full color, no dark colors allowed!

On September 16, 2023, an open house will begin at 11:30 AM CT with services to follow at 12:30 PM CT. Following services we will have a full-spread treat table with all kinds of candy and goodies along with a food truck and Jacinda‘s favorite blueberry beer!

Jacinda would not be happy unless pets were included in this invite so please bring your pets, accommodations will be there for them as well!

Her Celebration of Life will be held at Oakwood Funeral Home, 2585 Stillwater Rd E, Maplewood, MN, 55119, September 16, 2023.

Jacinda requests that “Instead of flowers, she would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some less fortunate soul in her name.”

Cinda was the most generous giver and the smallest yet mightiest of warriors. I know her songs of the pain and beauty in the world will fill many of you with the incredible joy she felt for life. Long live the beauty that comes down and through and onto all because of her infectious spirit that lives on!
